Where We're Headed.
Hankins Energy Partners is actively building its Permian Basin portfolio. Our team brings 28+ years of West Texas operational experience to every acquisition decision — evaluating acreage, formations, and entry points with the discipline of operators who have done this before.

Target Areas
Permian Basin Focus
We are actively evaluating acquisition opportunities across four proven Permian Basin sub-plays. Our geological and land teams are engaged in each area, building the acreage positions that will define our initial portfolio.
Permian Basin — Midland Sub-Basin
The Midland Sub-Basin is our primary acquisition target. We are evaluating acreage positions in the Wolfcamp and Spraberry formations — proven, high-return plays with deep well inventory and established infrastructure.
- Wolfcamp A & B horizontal targets
- Spraberry vertical and horizontal inventory
- Established midstream and water infrastructure
- Strong offset operator production data
Permian Basin — Delaware Sub-Basin
The Delaware Sub-Basin offers compelling exploration upside in the Bone Spring and Wolfcamp formations. We are actively reviewing acreage packages and bolt-on acquisition opportunities in Reeves and Culberson counties.
- Bone Spring 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sand targets
- Wolfcamp A horizontal development potential
- Multi-well pad development economics
- Active acreage evaluation underway
Permian Basin — Central Basin Platform
The Central Basin Platform offers conventional oil production from carbonate formations with lower-risk, steady-decline profiles. We are evaluating producing property acquisitions that can generate near-term cash flow while we build our development inventory.
- San Andres and Grayburg carbonate targets
- Producing property acquisition focus
- Low-decline, predictable production profiles
- Workover and recompletion upside
Permian Basin — Northwest Shelf
The Northwest Shelf presents exploration opportunities in the Yeso, Paddock, and Abo formations. We are reviewing acreage and acquisition opportunities that offer attractive entry-point economics and multi-zone upside.
- Yeso and Paddock formation targets
- Abo reef exploration potential
- Strategic bolt-on acquisition candidates
- Integrated land and geology review underway
Our Approach
How We Build a Portfolio
Every position we take is built on the same foundation — rigorous geological evaluation, disciplined land acquisition, and a long-term development mindset. We don't chase headlines. We build assets.
Geological Evaluation First
Every acquisition begins with subsurface analysis — formation quality, offset production, and reserve potential evaluated before any capital is committed.
Disciplined Land Acquisition
Our land team negotiates lease positions with a focus on blocking contiguous acreage, protecting development optionality, and managing title risk.
Phased Capital Deployment
We deploy capital in phases — proving up acreage with initial wells before committing to full-field development, protecting partner capital at every stage.
Long-Horizon Production Management
Once producing, assets are managed for maximum recovery — with continuous optimization, workover programs, and data-driven reservoir surveillance.
